2012 Seth Schupan Memorial Tournament
vs.
This week, your Cougars are traveling to the frozen North to play in the prestigious Seth Schupan Memorial Tournament. This tournament has been a keystone for determining talent across the ACHA. This year, the Cougars will be facing Northwood, Calvin, and long-time rivals Hope. This will be a test for the Cougars. They will be looking for some retribution coming off the disheartening 60+ (in the Cougar's favor) loss to Loyolya Marymount (D2).

Here is the "Word From the Locker Room brought to you by player Wayne Ravdjee:
After a less than stellar end to our season and a long off season, words couldn’t begin to tell you how excited I am for our teams first game and the start of the new season. It’s tough knowing that not all the same guys will be in the locker room for the start, but it’s even more exciting to welcome a strong core of new talent that will make an incredible impact on our team. After months of off-season, the taste of disappointment still lingers in my mind about our less than stellar finish to our season. I am fortunate to play for a program as strong as we are where winning a national championship is our expectation. With our first game approaching, the anticipation is driving me crazy. I’ve already picked out my suit to wear to the game. Like the old saying goes, “look good, feel good, play good .” Every practice, we look stronger as a team, and with four dominant lines, and stellar goaltending, the potential for success is endless. Ever minute gets us that much closer to the puck drop, and I am confident in knowing that our team will be ready both physically and mentally.
Thanks Wayne! Expect more soon! |
